VRFB battery full name is Vanadium Redox Flow Battery (shorted as VFB), which is a active substance in liquid state redox batter.

2. Technical Parameters
2.1 Working Principal
VFB battery separately stores different valence ions into the positive and negative tanks. When charge or discharge, through pump, electrolyte cycles from external tanks into the positive and negative chamber, and reacts oxidation and reduction at the electrode surface at the same time, to achieve the battery charge and discharge.

2.2 Main Technical Parameters
Stack is the VFB battery core part. By integrating, series or parallel several stacks together, with electrolyte, then it can integrate larger energy storage system.
Our self-developed stack can meet client varied customized needs, currently finalized models of 1kw / 2kw / 5kw / 10kw / 25kw.

Energy storage system
Vanadium redox flow battery energy storage system is mainly made up of power unit (stack module), energy storage unit (electrolyte and tanks), electrolyte transmission unit (pipelines, valves, pumps etc.) and battery management system (pressure, temperature, level monitor unit, charge and discharge device, and control parts).

1.5 Key Material1.5.1 Electrolyte
Electrolyte not only plays conductivity role, but also the carrier of active substance, which is a core part of the VFB battery system. When charging, the positive turns into V4.5+ from V3.5+ and negative turns into V2.5+ from V3.5+, while discharging, it is the opposite to achieve energy store. So, improving the electrolyte density is the effective way to improve battery stored energy.
1.5.2 Membrane
Ion-exchange membrane requires good electrical conductivity, good permeability, ion-selective and oxidation resistance, so the best choice is cation-exchange membrane which allows hydrogen ions through. Battery membrane usually adopts cation-exchange membrane, commonly used perfluorinated sulfonic acid type ion-exchange membrane. At present, our main use is DuPont's Nafion membrane, which is an optimum overall performance ion exchange membrane.
1.5.3 Electrode material
Due to the strong oxidation of VO2+ and strong acid of sulfuric acid, the electrode material used as in vanadium battery must have strong resistance to oxidation and acidity, low resistance, good electrical conductivity, high mechanical strength, good electrochemical activity characteristics. It is usually compounded of corrosion resistant polymer conductive plastics and electrode materials to form composite electrode with performance of small resistance, corrosion resistance, good activity and convenient assembly.
